HOJOKI: Visions of a Torn World by Kamo-no-Chomei, read by Reverend Ann Myosho Kyle Brown. The priest and poet Kamo-no-Chomei died in 1216 at the age of 61. Hojoki, written in isolation at his humble hermitage, is now one of the most famous literary texts in Japan.
